Birzai Lithuania

This morning I had a Skype contact from a very young person living in Birzai. Hi found my visualradio ID and just wanted to talk and chat. This episode lasted for a few minutes. His English was good and his native language was Russian. The world is getting smaller, flatter, it's becoming a global village. We meet each other on Google Talk, Skype, Yahoo or MSN Messenger. The blogosphere brings new contacts and people to exchange ideas with. The region of Biržai lies in the far north of Lithuania, approximately 20 kilometers from the Lithuanian - Latvian border. Two hundred and fifteen kilometers north of Vilnius and roughly 100 kilometers south of Riga, Biržai is conveniently located just 20 kilometers off the main highway linking the two nations' capitals.
