Superpages Offering ProStores: Superpages Offering ProStores | December 28, 2007

To help small businesses gain more customers, increase sales and gain a competitive advantage, Superpages.com, a service of Idearc Media Corp., is now offering ProStores, an e-commerce product that turns Web sites into online stores for small businesses.

"E-commerce is an important part of our Web hosting strategy. It provides our advertisers with additional opportunities to convert online traffic into paying customers," Robyn Rose, vice president of marketing for Superpages.com, said in a statement.

"The combination of Superpages.com Web Hosting and ProStores gives our advertisers the right tools to differentiate their businesses from the competition." Superpages.com e-commerce powered by ProStores offers:
  • Seamless integration with the advertiser's Superpages.com Web site, allowing a business to take orders 24/7.
  • An unlimited online catalog that can be submitted to eBay, Yahoo!, Google product search and other marketplace and shopping search engines.
  • Real-time shipping through UPS, FedEx and other carriers that make it easier for consumers to do business with advertisers.
  • Tax calculations, real-time payment processing (including PayPal) and the ability to set up recurring and automated monthly billing.
  • E-mail marketing campaigns that let advertisers announce upcoming sales, promotions and special pricing discounts through their databases of customers.
In 2006, Superpages.com, a local search provider, had more than 2.8 billion network searches and more than 18 million small-to-medium-sized business listings in the United States, 11 million of which feature enhanced content, according to the company.
