More Finnish companies are ready to start or extend their operations in India. TietoEnator is one of them. They have a unit in the million city Pumen 170 kilometres south of Mumbai. They don't like to call outsourcing for outsourcing anymore. The idea is to be closer to their customers. TietoEnator has been active in India since 1995 through a German acquisition ITB AG. They have today 1200 employees in seven countries working with health care programs and systems development. Their Effica health care software has been on the market for fifteen years. Their Effica program is used in 150 hospitals in Germany
