In a context of an agriculturally globalized sector in full expansion, it's relevant to analyse the social and environmental characteristics of the major producers and exporters of sugar and alcohol of the XXI’st century: Brazil, as it appears like the designated power to define the production and business rules of the sugarcane's transformation.

The second meeting, about environmental and social sugarcane sector's stakes in Brazil, develops a reflexion that emphasizes the future and the Human's place over the economic perspectives of the field.

The social and environmental responsibility of Brazilian sugar and ethanol producers in the view of ethical and human governance will be the centre of the meeting. The expertise of various PhD’s will enlighten the social and environmental assets and challenges within a sector in evolution and directed to the future.
