Viviane Reding

Viviane Reding is the Commissioner for Information Society and Media. e-Inclusion is about using Information and communication technologies (ICT) to empower all Europeans. Investment in R&D and innovation is a key driver for productivity growth and is one the key pillars of the i2010 initiative that she launched in June 2005 as the Digital Economy component of the Lisbon strategy.

In today's fast-changing world, enterprises, both big and small face many challenges that ICT can help to solve. These include increasing flexibility, achieving shortening time lines, getting access to new technologies, improving quality and improving operational efficiency. To compete effectively and build for the future, enterprises must innovate continuously.
