Salesforce Cloud Computing

Salesforce.com launched its customer service application on cloud computing called the Service Cloud. The service will be integrated with:
  1. Google,
  2. Facebook and
  3. Amazon
Meaning that it will provide features that enable social networking, interaction between customers, etc. Salesforce can very well speed up such connectivity with it provides SAAS as well.

Innovating over Internet

The Internet is becoming real now in a way it has never been before. You can take your talk, pictures, movies and text presentations to your customers in real time. Powerpoint presentations don't have to happen in a meeting room. A sales talk can be delivered for on-demand downloading. However, I would say that the real thing is to do things live from a distance.

The Web is becoming the main medium in which consumers engage to get information and to communicate. You can see this happening in advertising, you can see it happening in telecom, video with YouTube, with music, with newspapers and magazines.

Sales is Important

Sales people receive product knowledge training. However, they need to be people experts as well. They need to know who you are, what you do, and what your future plans and needs are. Sales persons need to become experts at knowing why the prospect is going to buy and why the prospect is going to buy from your / our company. At the end of the month which of the two areas of knowledge really matters most to your bottom line?
